This is just a short informational note about how the bulletin board works.
As a member, you have access to read anything posted to the bulletin board once you are in the members-only area of the site.
If you want to post a new message or item, you need to “Register” with the WordPress site and get a password so you can write to the bulletin board. Once you have registered you can make any number of “postings” using that log in info.
In this context a posting is like a listing or ad in the newspaper. So you post your sale item or note on the bulletin board and can also reply to someone else’s posting if you have additional information to add to it.
If you are just responding to a sales item or to a notice about a new hike or slide show or other event, you can just contact the person who make the original posting via their contact info. It that case, you do not make a reply through the bulletin board but do it directly.
See my sales posting of a pair of skis for example. You can just contact me about hte skis through the email address that I gave. No need to do a reply through the bulletin board itself.
